Please list the Non-Profit you have selected for your final project. Please do not duplicate selections. Share what you have found about the grant writing activities of your organization. What innovation or potential grant concepts might you suggest for your organization of interest. If you can not locate a grant currently being implement, what sources might you suggest from your review of the mission statement and services provided.

Project2 – After narrowing the reviewed 10 down to one particular organization, thestudent will do an in-depth evaluation and assessment, providing a list ofwell-supported recommendations. This will culminate in a professional letter tothe assessed organization with the recommendations. Identify the vision, mission, and purpose ofthis organization. Select key concepts (i.e. volunteerism, governing boardresponsibilities) from your course Reading & Study material that are ofmost interest to you and apply it to the selected organization. Does theorganization look as though it is successful in accomplishing its purpose inthe light of what you have learned thus far? If it is, what are some of thecontributing factors to the organization’s success? From the information thatyou can gather, identify strategic issues. should be a minimum of 5 full pages.

Feeding America was founded by a retire business man by the name of John Van Hengel in Phoenix, Arizona during the 1960s. Their mission statement is as follows, “Our mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger”. With the help of local national food assistance programs, feeding America is able to provide healthy and nutritious meals to children and adults. Feeding America has seven statement values that guide them through their work. They are; respect, stewardship & accountability, collaboration, urgency, service, integrity and diversity & inclusion.   

The following corporations and foundations generously supported Feeding America with contributions of $5,000 or more from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012 through a workplace giving campaign, an employee matching gift program, or both; some of these companies are Macys, Microsoft, Bank of America, Google, The Wal-Mart Foundation and many others (page 40).
