Final Project: Creating a Nonprofit
To demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of nonprofit management for nonprofit organizations, students will be assigned a project. In developing the nonprofit agency, should develop a mission/vision/values of the nonprofit organization and the defined scale and scope of the nonprofit. Additionally the students should adequately explain the role of the board (including policies related to board selection and board member service), the programs that the nonprofit will be undertaking in order fulfill the mission, and the financial tools the nonprofit will use in the day-to-day operation of the organization. Papers must be 6-10 pages typed and double-spaced with a 12 point font with at least 5 reputable sources. A more detailed project rubric will be provided by the instructor.
