Propose sources of funding; detail the means by which you would achieve your project; and support the viability of your idea with historical precedents from the required readings. For an example, you could make a comparison to cities installing sewers and running water in the 19th and 20th centuries or the TVA bringing electricity to rural areas in the 1930s.
You may always write beyond the minimum guideline. Your proposal must have a thesis statement.
Including additional relevant and substantive content beyond the minimum word count will help your grade. For historical background, if you would like to include it, you may consult any of the course materials, including the required readings and classroom discussion posts (by you, me, or your peers). Cite everything you use, and cite abundantly.
PowerPoint: Your PowerPoint of at least six content slides will allow you to illustrate your proposal, providing supporting imagery. Use the rubric. Your PowerPoint should consist of the following:
- Introductory Slide
- At least 6 content slides to support your proposal
- Bibliography / Works Cited Slide
- This is a total of 8 slides with at least 6 of them being core content to support your proposal.
