Case Analysis – MGT 300

The purpose of this project is to hone your logical and analytical abilities by focusing on

environmental stimuli that influence managers. Furthermore, this project will help sensitize you

to the importance of experiential learning and student-driven research that will help you in the

workplace. This task will be completed either individually or in groups consisting of up to 5

members. Each project will choose a company and conduct a multi-tiered analysis focusing on:

1) describing the organization (e.g. structure, management style, size, etc),

2) what they are doing well,

3) what they are doing poorly,

4) what are their threats and opportunities,

5) and what is your recommendation for how they can obtain a sustainable competitive

advantage.
