Initial question:

How do management information systems (MISs) impact strategy implementation efforts?

My reply:

Management information systems (MISs) are types of information systems that are used by business leaders to assist in the analysis, visualization, decision-making process, control, coordination of managerial operations. As explained by Laudon and Laudon (2019), MISs help business leaders make valid decisions by simplifying their work and providing them with more accurate, up-to-date information. These systems play critical roles in strategy implementation efforts. Like every other information system, MISs simplify decision-making. These systems have tools and components that make it simple for managers to capture and process information simply and within a short period. Besides, MISs can link with other systems and databases in order to collect information autonomously and automatically. Since these systems provide more accurate information than humans do, they help inform decisions that managers make tend to be more accurate, which means that they can formulate more relevant and valid strategies for their businesses.

MISs provide information in a form that is easy to understand. As explained by Laudon and Laudon (2019), these systems come with dashboards that managers can use to organize, visualize, and manipulate information, which makes it possible for managers. Fitted with the right modules and tools, MISs can provide models that can be used by managers to design strategies and to predict the effects of their strategies accurately. In return, these managers can make the necessary changes in the early phases of their strategies. At the same time, the projected information can be used to evaluate and control the project. Similarly, these systems can be used to capture data during strategy implementation and to provide results that can then be used to identify any potential changes that may be needed at any given phase. As such, they simplify, raise accuracy, raise the chances of success, and lower the costs of implementing business strategies.

Your perspective on management information systems is spot on. I like that you mentioned that management information systems simplify data autonomously and automatically. By gathering this important nonbiased data mangers can make important decisions that impact there organizations. These systems can save organizations money, time and processes. It is important to mention that without management information systems, organizations will fail. Good job on your post.
