CRITERIA FOR GRADING WRITING ASSIGNMENTS:

Writing assignment responses must address all facets of the question being asked. It is expected that your postings will be thoughtful and be in your own words. (You may refer to the text, of course, but do not simply rehash the material or even worse, plagiarize it.)

Proper standards of English are expected to be maintained in your responses. Please be sure to check your spelling and grammar. You will lose points for sloppily written postings. These should NOT be thought of as informal emails! If need be, have someone proofread your work before submitting it. I will deduct points for incorrect spelling, grammar, syntax or punctuation.

Writing assignment responses should be thorough and demonstrate to me that you have read the text and understand the material. At a minimum, each response should be a paragraph. It may be helpful for you to organize each response by re-typing the question and then responding. Any reference to the text or outside material needs to be properly cited in APA format.
