Hello All,

If I had the chance to join the union I would. In our PPT for this week it tells us about the main goals of the union.

• Main goals of national unions:
– Lobbies in government for worker rights laws
– Resolves disputes between unions
– Helps organize national protests
– Works with allied organizations and sponsors various
programs for the support of unions

This is what draws me to them as much as it does. I feel sometimes to make a difference it takes more then one and that what the union does for us it helps us with things we can not accomplish alone. I feel the only down fall about the union is you don’t have a personal voice. Everything that is being said, is being said as a group and what we all want to happen. Sometimes that’s not always a good thing but over all the benefits of the union out weigh the down falls in my eyes. It give a sense of security in the work force especially today with the way jobs are up in the air and people just don’t know how long there job will be for. So with that said , Yes I would join if I had the option.
