discuss and describe three to five ethical considerations that are present when working with the individual/couple/family in the selected case vignette.
Jade and Cynthia are an interracial lesbian couple. Jade identifies as a Black cisgender female and Cynthia identifies as a White cisgender female. The couple has two children, Brooklyn (7 Years) and Kieran (2 years). Brooklyn is from Jade’s previous relationship and Kieran was born to the couple after a year of fertility treatments. Cynthia carried the pregnancy to term and from the time of Kieran’s birth, has stayed at home to care for him. Prior to Kieran’s birth, Cynthia was a receptionist at a medical office. Jade works long hours as a full-time accountant and financial advisor. Now that Kieran is 2, Cynthia has expressed the desire to return to school to pursue her nursing degree. She feels Kieran is old enough and would benefit from daycare, while Jade feels it is more important for Kieran to be at home with a parent. Jade and Cynthia have had many conversations about this and have been experiencing increasing conflict about what to do. They have sought the help of a therapist to help them work through their disagreement.
