Activity Questions:
1. Compare and contrast the personalities of Maya Angelou and George Harrison. How are they alike /
different? How do they fit their respective theories? Which traits of each person’s personality fit closest to
your personality? Give specific examples.
2. Visit the website Center For The Person (see above). Search for the link to Carl Rogers. What is the
premise of his theory? Contrast Rogers’ theory with Freud’s. How are they different? Is Rogers’ theory
more relevant today then Freud’s? Why/why not? Be specific.
3. Visit the Maslow website (see above). What is the premise of Maslow’s theory? Watch the video on
the website (Expanded Hierarchy of Needs) . What is the expanded hierarchy need about? How has
Maslow’s theory changed? Be specific.

4. How has this assignment impacted you? What did you learn?
