Let’s start thinking about lessons we could write about for Analytical Essay 2. During class today, I would like you to complete a pre-writing activity:

1. Explore TED-Ed and look for lessons (not talks–they’re too long) that interest you.
2. Select two that you think could work together.
3. Download the file “AE2 Writing Process Activity”  Download file “AE2 Writing Process Activity”and use it to take notes.
   1. You’ll see three columns: one for each lesson and one for connections.
   2. View each lesson and take notes in its respective column.
   3. Note any connections in the middle column.
4. When you are finished taking notes on the lessons and their connections, please use the bottom part of the notetaking grid to write out the strongest connection you see between the lessons.
5. There are no right or wrong answers here–I just want to see that you’re thinking and that you’re making connections.
6. When you are finished, please save and submit your file.
7. Feel free to use the brainstorming file to guide your writing process, especially if you end up changing your mind about lessons.
