Assignment #4 WORTH 50 POINTS

You will be required to write a 3 and one-half minute radio newscast, complete with introduction, closing, four news stories, three sports stories, and a weather forecast. You must time yourselves before submitting your assignment to Dr. OOO.Your turned in assignments must be stapled.Points will be counted against you if you go under 3 minutes, 15 seconds or if you go over 3 minutes, 45 seconds.

This will show how well you can write short, sweet, and to the point, but including pertinent information.

You are a radio news anchor for Troy University Radio. Write this as one long script. Do not put on a separate sheet each different item. In other words, you do not have to write the introduction as one page…news story #1 as another page, etc. Conserve paper.

The lead sentences for your four news stories and three sports stories must be written in present, present-perfect, or future tense. In addition, your lead sentences must include the 5 Ws (Who, What, Where,When and Why). Three points will automatically be taken away for each story (news and sports) that you do not write your lead sentences in present, present-perfect, or future tense. You must re-write your news and sports stories from factual newspaper or Internet copy.You may not make up your stories.The stories must be re-written from stories that have occurred between Wednesday, July 3, 2019 and Wednesday, July 19, 2019.Your sports stories must be stories, not simply the reporting of the score of last night’s game. If you are writing about a game, include details of the contest and the score.YOUR NEWS AND SPORTS STORIES MUST BE READER OR COPY STORIES.DO NOT INCLUDE ACTUALITIES IN YOUR NEWS AND SPORTS STORIES.YOUR NEWS AND SPORTS STORIES DO NOT HAVE TO BE TROY UNIVERSITY RELATED.
