Procurement planning

Assignment: Diagram the Procurement Management Process Procurement planning is a component of the overall project plan and is instrumental to the project team’s ability to properly acquire goods, services, and personnel. The procurement plan must be connected to the project’s timeline and milestones. Important elements of planning for project procurements include make-or-buy analysis, preparation and release of Requests for Proposal (RFP’s) or Requests for Quote (RFQ’s), and vendor selection. These activities must occur prior to the release of Purchase Orders (PO’s) to vendors. Review the resources listed in the Books and Resources area below to prepare for this week’s assignment(s). Below is the feedback from my instructor from the last Assignment you did for me plus read it carefully and do better this time Hi Thank you very much for the opportunity to review this paper. This week assignment asks you to write a paper addressing the following points: Summarize what project procurement management is. Include in your summary the major project procurement processes. Address why procurement management is a key part of the project management process. Overall, I think you did an adequate job with this assignment. Your paper overall was well structured and well organized. You answered some parts of the questions as required. Your analysis covered some important key elements about Project Procurement Management concepts. You also did an adequate job presenting some procurement process, and addressed why procurement management is an important part of the project management process. In your response, I appreciate that you presented some interesting analysis about our topic in good details and applied our class concepts in the analysis quite well. I also appreciate that you used some good sources to support your analysis and showed good reflection on these sources very well – this is a good practice as it helps strengthen your argument and add credibility to your analysis. While you’ve presented some interesting analysis about Project Procurement Management concepts, the definition of procurement is not clear. The analysis about project procurement processes is also incomplete as the 3rd and 4th stage is missing. The third stage is a stage of monitoring and controlling called “control procurement”. This is the stage of managing the relationship between the buyer and seller to ensure both are performing up to the contractual obligations. The final process is to close the procurements. This is a closing action taken to finalize the work that has been completed or products that were acquired to end the contract based on fulfilment of the need. In terms of APA, there are some errors there in the paper. I have provided some additional resource below that might be helpful regarding the APA guidelines. Overall, good start. Thank you very much for your hard work this week, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
