University of West Georgia Institutionalized Racism Paper

In class we have spent a significant amount of time talking about the various manifestations of institutionalized racism in the United States. For your critical reflection, you are to make a clear, logical argument about the way(s) in which institutionalized racism is/are embedded within our various systems, and what implications this has with respect to our criminal justice system.

For your paper, you are to choose one (1) system (educational system) listed below and explain how a current policy and/or practice has played a role in the overrepresentation of racial and ethnic minorities in the criminal justice system. In other words, how does the policy/practice make racial/ethnic minorities more vulnerable to coming into contact with the criminal justice system?  This requires research on your part.
